​Mit über 700 Teilnehmern war die Veranstaltung besser besucht als im. Das zeigt, dass Biomethan europaweit eine wachsende Bedeutung erfährt. Schade ist es, dass der europaweite Trend nicht durch deutsche Teilnahme bestätigt wurde. Ein Schlagwort war „Made in Europe, used in Europe“. The Biomethane Day in Weimar was characterized by content-rich presentations on the topic of biomethane. The presentations were of particular interest to entrepreneurs planning to switch from on-site electricity generation to biomethane production. continue reading here

Dr Stefan Rauh from the German Biogas Association spoke on the topic of biogas in (inter)national politics.
He explained that the EU wants to massively increase biogas production by 2030 and accelerate green electricity projects. The EU member states must draw up biomethane action plans. Biogas can cover 10% of EU gas demand by 2030.

Georg Friedel from the German Biogas Association is calling on the federal government and the Federal Network Agency to adjust the tendering process. In 2023, there was oversubscription for the first time due to the increase in the maximum bid price. The southern quota leads to significant differences between the two regions. The highest award value in the south was 19.00 ct compared to 18.48 ct in the north. The trade association has warned that, despite the oversubscription, the price is not adequate in the long term. continue reading here

A Green Trading was involved in the 21st International Congress for Renewable Mobility "Fuels of the Future 2024" from 22 to 23 January 2024 in Berlin. With more than 60 speakers and more than 700 national and international participants, the key strategic developments for biofuels and biomethane in particular were discussed. continue reading here

This year, the dena biogas partners' conference focused on the expansion of biomethane production and the influence of national and international regulation. Toni Reinholz, Team Leader Renewable Gases and Bioenergy at Dena, moderated the program and pointed out that Red III must be implemented by 21.05.25 and that we must prepare for further regulatory changes in the coming year.  continue reading here
